Southcenter Mall --> the experience that I ll never foget

This afternoon, about 3pm, my friends and I were going on the escalator to the 1st floor of the Mall. Suddenly, we all heard 1 big bang which was 1st shot, actually we thought that something fell down...and then it was 2nd shot, everybody had sat down and covered their heads. After that, someone was sreaming and everybody started running... I couldn't understand what happened and my friend who was a boy started to run first (yah, he was so nice!!! =___=) ..... he ran down the escalator although it was going up, my friend and I ran down the escalator after the boy and we stopped nearby the store and watched what was going on....and I saw two security guard yelled and pointed at somebody, I followed his finger on the rail and I saw someone was running.......Instantly, everybody scattered and screamed so we ran out after them......Outside, there was a panic station, while some people were calling, the others were running and crying in panic, everything seemed so crazy.....there is somebody was stucked on the balcony so they jumped to the ground.....later, we decided to leave the mall and go to watch the movie in downtown......=____=

Woa, the 1st time in America and have that kind of experience, although it's dangerous but I can proud that I has become a witness and I saw an incident in America that I had thought it just could be seen in the movie lol................It's such an unforgettable experience that I will never ever forget!!! :D

Week 8 - Task 2 : A list of songs you should listen to before you die

Week 7: Task 1 - KingKong

This is a film was remade in 2005 which was based on the old film. I think everybody has watched this movie so I will summary just a little about it!! ^__^

• Hm...this film was about a destitute director who had has a lot of ambition and he dreamed that he will become a rich and famous director in the world! That day was coming..when he had a screenplay by cheating the famous poet. And since he saw a girl who is an unknow actress in a circus and he invited her to come with him to the island where she would become a main character of his movie. Because of that and also she has been admired that poet so she agreed his invitation. Ever since, everything has just begun. They has been trapped by a lot of stranged things like : the anthropophagous tribe, the dinosaurs, the huge insects...and finally is KING KONG which is the huge Gorilla and it's kind of carnivorous. But after that, that girl has been fallen in love with KingKong and when Kingkong had arrested and brought to New York city. Right there, he had been shot by a lot of jet flighters........and in the end...he died....

• I was sobbing a lots when I saw this movie!! Until seeing the second time, I still could cry and after that I couldn't stop thinking about the movie. I hate that girl and the poet, especially is that poet, because of him, that girl couldn't go with Kingkong.....T___T In this movie, I just like Kingkong, although he is a animal, not a human, but I still see that he's so handsome and gentle, he protected her against the dinosaurs..Furthermore, when I looked at his eyes, I could see somewhere in his heart, there was a humanity. If I were that girl, I would love him instead of loving the poet and I will follow him and go back to the island and live there with him forever and ever!!!!!

Week 7 - Task 3 : Bacteria on your hands

From this video, we can know that women's hands have 40% more species of bacteria than men's hand and the possible reason is because of the sweat on men's hands can be more exsiccated than women's hands. Furthermore, the researchers found out that there is one hand has over 100 bacteria than we thought and there are 13% of bacteria in common to all people's hands, it means a lot of variety of bacteria in our world and even our hands are the same body but they still have diffent types of bacteria on one hand and the other.

• I was very suprised when I saw this video. Because right now, maybe on my hands, there are a lot of bacteria, it makes me feel scare of my hands so I think, the best way is, sometimes, wash our hands 3 times, in the morning, afternoon and evening.....=___=

Week 7 - Task 2 : Obama in Chicago

Obama, who is the 44th president of the United States had a speech in Chicago on Nov 4th 2008. In his speech, he showed that no matter that you are in any sections and classes like young or old, rich or poor, black or white, disable or not disable, we are and always be the United States of America. In his speech he said that he will bring a change to America. By the way, he had been talking about Mc.Cain such as Mc.Cain fought harder and longer in this campaign and he has sacrified for America and he had called Mc.Cain was a brave and selfless leader that he love to work with Mc.Cain. After that, Obama had promised that he will make the goverment of people, by the people and for the people. Also, he had promised that he will give hope to people, listen to people - help them and he will do everything that we appeal to him.

• I was so impressed by Obama, he inspired me and made me feel very good in the future of the USA. Also, he made me change my mind about the election day, how the election day is important..... I think and I hope that he can do what he said, and how he will change not only The United States but also our world!!!

• This is my favourite song, especially when I feel down, tired or upset, I always hear it! This song is about when you feel alone or so tired and can't do anything, you just want to run away, then you should believe in yourself, believe in what you are doing is right. Just do it, try your best and you will see that you can make it ^___^!!! Life is not hard for all of us, especially for everyone who believes in theirself!!! This is really really a good song!!! I'm sure that you guys will not regret after hear it!!!

Week 6 : Task 3 : Halloween history

Halloween which is a patchwork, stick together with cultural, religious and decode tradition. More than 2000 years ago, in Europe, Oct 31st was the day that people celebrated the end of the harvest season and there was also the magical day that ghosts from the death came back to life. According to the video, Halloween was called that Hallowmas (Hallow meaned: Holy) . On 1840, Halloween was brought into America. Children've wore masks so they won't be recognized to play a game called Trick or treat. However, back to the 1930s, the tradition has become too dangerous and rude such a vandalism like give candy or your house will be trashed...

Week 6 - Task 2: Costumes too sexy for kids?

Nowday, customes for Halloween become too sexy for kids, younger and younger. Such as: Playboy cupid, French maid, Pirate, Gothic Naughty nurse, Fallen angle, Corset Fairy Teen...are made for children. According to the costume designer, nowaday, kids are being influenced by fashion and music like some actress such as: Britney Spears, Hanna Montana,...... so their job is making the costumes which follow the trend of fashion and by this occasion, they design costumes that children want to buy. But after all, the dicisions of their parents are the most important whether they want to dress up like that.

I chose this video. 1st, because it refers to Halloween :D. 2nd: I love costumes in Halloween day, that's why I was a little shock when I saw this video....Costumes are very important, it's like a symbol of your character, so if I had children, I would not let my daughter or son dress up like that....

• This song is one of my favourite songs. When I hear this song, the tune makes me feel younger and have more joy for living :)) (maybe I'm too old now, hahaha..) This song is sung by a popular band in the past, they have a lots of song like :Up side down, Can't help falling in love...I really love two boys in this band, especially is the boy with yellow hair.......oh my god, he's so handsome!! ^___^ According to this song, the lyrics are about a friendship which is between a child and a fire-fly... My host family's dog

This video is about my host family's dog. His name is Akhona. He is cute and smart although in this movie he was a little silly :)) He's very interested in everything that have a reflection like mirror and in this movie I use the flashlight....=)) I really enjoy playing with him after I finish my class or my homework!!

This video is about 70 million years ago, when the North Pole was far away from the sun so they had been in the darknes about 6 weeks in winter, the North Pole was so cold and there wasn't a lots to eat at that time because the trees was in dormacy.....Because of that, with 4 months of darkness during the long winter, Dinosaurs had to move to another place to find more food and better condition to survive.....They had to walked 5000 miles, nearly the distance from New York to Los Angeles to escape the darkness and cold!

I choose this video because I like dinosaurs and want to understand more about their life also their habit.

Week 4: Task 2 - Dog's best friend (King5)

This movie is bout Craig Mosher and his best friend, Looie. Craig adopted Looie when he saw Looie was attacked by some people and he was bleeding. Untill now, Looie becomes a big and strong dog but unfortunately, he was paralyzed 4 years ago and his hindlegs couldn't move........Although that, Craig still there for his best friend. Everyday, Craig take Looie go around the neighbours although Looie is unable to walk and Craig has to hold the hindlegs of Looie......Craig is 60 years old now, but all what he wants is grow old with Looie because he said "Looie is a wonderful guy and he is my best friend, he deserves love and expected"....


I choose this video because I really like the story between Looie and Craig. This is uncommom story about love and devotion of friendship, it's also a moving video. By the way, there is a love between dog and human, like best friend to best friend, whatever this person get sick or in danger, the other will still be there to help!!!

Week 4: Task 1 - Wall-E

This film is about 700years in the future, when our Earth is polluted by trash so human were leaving the Earth and moved to live in the huge spaceship. On the Earth, there are one robot is living and having a mission is clean up, his name is Wall-E. After all these years, he've become a robot which has emotion and feeling like human.....but after all, he fell lonely....One day, had another robot, her name is Eva, her mission was checking the Earth, does it has life now or not?? And then, 2 robot met each other, Wall-E is fallen in love with Eva, and of course when Eva finished her mission, she had to come back to the spaceship, after that the adventure of Wall-E was just began.....to rescue Eva and to take her come back the Earth with him......Finally, Wall-E not only brought Eva come back with him but also he made human return their home after a long time and make them realize that nowhere better than their home, their planet.

I really love this movie, I like Wall-e, although he is just a robot, but he has a heart like human, because he lives alone on the Earth so he just has only one cockroach is his friend, and how is he naive when he can distinguish which one is trash and which one is valuable. Furthermore, the way that he try to run after Eva, across the galaxy to bring her come back because he thought that she is arrested. So much so much about Wall-E that I can stop smiling and love him. Otherwise, this movie also teach us that protect our environment, out planet before it becomes too late, and if that happens, like in the movie, the human must live in space and completely depend on machines, robots and we will become obese, too fat, that we can't do anything even eating, playing if we don't have a help from machines, and that is really really awful!!!

Homework: My hometown

I lived in Hochiminh city which is a biggest industry, trading and service city in southern of Vietnam.

Hochiminh city was named of the president who was brought the independence for Vietnam. We have 2 seasons in hochiminh, one it's raining season and one it's sunny season, so the weather in hochiminh city is very warm, if I don't say that it's hot! Hochiminh city has the highest in population and has the strongest economic also. Because of that, every year we have a lot of people from another place in VN or even in international come to Hochiminh city to settle, study or for business...

The food in VN is very good, we have the variety of food like: Pho, Bun Bo, Bun rieu, Canh Bun....the price is very cheap too...that why when I came here, to Seattle, I saw the price and then I don't want to eat Pho although that's my favourite ...

I really love my city, a city that is compared with the soul and the heart of VN and also is the economic capital and the cultural trendsetter. There are still have so much more not only about Hochiminh city but also VN, after this entry if you want to know more about Vietnam or visit it, I'm very pleasant to be your tour guide ^___^

Week 3: Task 2 - Enchanted Trailer

This film is about a young girl live in a animated fairy tale world, and she has been fallen in love with the prince who is handsome, sing well just like in her dream...Then, she is going to marry the prince and will become a princess but her dream was prevented by the prince's mother, who is a evil queen...She uses her black magic to send our the princess to a world, where there is no the notion about true love.....Manhattan!! That time is when the fairy world and the real world become one, and the princess becomes a real girl live in Newyork city...After that, she met a guy who is a lawyer lives with his young daughter and she was fallen in love with that lawyer....But what she is going to do while the prince is coming to rescure her to go back home!! Of course that finally, our princess still can find her truth love and they are living hapily never ever after....

I chose this trailer because I want to introduce you guys about a one of bomp-buster in last summer. This film tells us about the truth love, which is so frail and impossible in this real world, but the princess, she still dreams and make it's become true! I've studied that nothing is impossible, just dream and belive in that, your dream will come true!! I really like this film, after saw it, I feel love myself, my life, and everybody around me more! It's also a good and lovely film for all of us!! I'm sure of that!! ^__^

Week 3: Task 1 - A difficult decision

This movie is about a dog, his name is Jake, he is 3 months and has chocolate hair. Unfortunately he is suffering from violent seizure. And in the last few days, his seizure became worst. Because of this, he is always like disorient, he walks into the walls, and his owned is thinking about letting him go to sleep!

After the test by the doctors, In his brain, the size was double than normal and totally full of water, so finally Jake was diagnosed that he is in trouble and they decided for Jake goes to sleep by use overdose anesthetic....

I choose this movie because first of all I like animals, especially is dogs....After watched this movie, I was moved, that dog, Jake , he is a lovely dog, and his owned has loved him so much, when she cries to making the decision that let him go to sleep, and forever never wake up, I can understand that was a hard decision for her. In my opinion, the first time I saw it, I think that is so merciless, how can they do that to a dog, but after that, thinking again, I think that is also the best way for Jake, die quietly, no hurt......and like the last sentence that the doctor said in the movie:"It's the best thing, the best thing for him, he had a good time, a good time in his life.."

Sunday.....in the morning just stay at home and do homework (good student :D) until afternoon, 2 my housemates: Korean and Chinese girl and me went to Lincoln Park.... Yah, At first I thought it's a big park, but actually it's just have some games and 1 big football ground there =___=

Hi guys! My name is Jodi, that's my English name, you can call me Jo ^__^ I came from Vietnam, so my name in Vietnamese is Tram. Actually I have a nickname too ....is Pu, you can see that like my display name and blog's name. PU-KU-I-NU are Japanese words, PUKU is the name of the dog that I read in comic book, of course from Japan too ^^ and I -NU is mean dog....

I'm 17 years old now, this is the first time I have visited here, in Seattle, and also the first time I go to somewhere without my parents. I really enjoy living here, maybe when I graduate and find a good job here maybe I will bring my parents to Amarica.

My favourite food is Pho and I love it so much, that's also my traditional food in VN. I can eat Pho the whole day and ice-cream too, sometimes I like shopping when I have free time. My favourite singers are Bi-Rain (the singer come from Korean) and Britney Spear, especially is Britney, her music is the 1st English music I heard when I was a child and began that I become her fan!

I love cold weather in Seattle especially is snow. Maybe because in VN we don't have snow, so right now I can't wait to see snow in winter.

In VN I lived with my parents and young brother, he's 6 months now ^__^ and now in Seattle I'm living with the host Philippine family and with other 2 girls from Korea and China in West Seattle.

Right now, I'm having so much fun with my friends in SCCC. And I've studied a lots from another cultural, not only in America but also in Korea, Japan, China....That's really cool!!! ^___^
